BooJee Beads Birthday Party Ideas

Sometimes we all need a little help coming up with something new and exciting for our kids’ birthday parties. Pin the Tail on the Donkey and letting the kids swing at a piñata are good ol’ staples and a lot of fun. Now we can add a new party favorite to them. From lanyards to apron decorating, here are a few birthday party ideas to help you change up the routine a bit.

1. Let the children at the party make and decorate their own aprons with fabric paints, paint pens and stencils. Let their imaginations run loose, and when they are finished have them put the aprons on and start icing cupcakes. You give them white frosting and let them mix their colors and decorate their own cupcakes.

2. Have the kids decorate their own name tags. BooJee Beads badge holders can be used to compliment their designs. You can let the kids choose from a variety of styles that coordinate with the stickers and the id badge holders can be taken home and used later when the kids play dress up or go to the theme park and need a place to hold their ticket stubs.

3. If you don’t have any beaded lanyards on hand, you can get the supplies, and let the children make their own specialized necklaces. They can be used with or without badges and the kids can pick from lots of different beads to create their own masterpieces.

4. Throw a themed party or a costume party. The kids can come dressed up and you can award special prizes for the best costumes, the funniest costumes, and the most original costumes. Pick a movie or TV theme, or come up with something on your own – jungle parties, dinosaur parties, and circus parties can be a lot of fun.

5. Pillowcase art is also a lot of fun. Collect paints, markers, beads, sequins, felt and other materials to let the kids decorate their own pillowcases. You can purchase a pack of cheap white pillowcases and lay down some cardboard and let the kids go crazy. You might want to have a couple of adults around to help decorate the edges of the pillowcases using a hot glue gun.

6. Make music shakers. Save up those old potato chip cans or paper towel rolls and let the kids add small items to make their own maracas. Once they’re finished decorating the noisemakers, they can play them while singing Happy Birthday on your son or daughter’s special day.

7. Host a treasure hunt. You can leave clues and have the kids find special objects whether you have the part at home, out in the yard, or at the local park. Use special dots on some of the items, and the kids who find them first can win a special prize.

No matter what you decide to do for your child’s special party – decorate a cupcake, make a beaded lanyard, or send the kids on a treasure hunt – find some original ideas that the kids will enjoy.
